What we seek to Achieve

EDUCATION

Within the educational sector, we seek to create literacy & reading clubs in primary schools across Nigeria. Encouraging the reading culture from a young age. We believe this will bring about the needed confidence to express themselves on any platform and in any later endeavor they venture into. At the moment, especially in rural and conflict-affected areas, there are not enough schools to serve the population. Existing schools are often overcrowded, with student-teacher ratios exceeding 70:1 in some areas. Many schools lack textbooks, libraries, and digital learning tools. Many families cannot afford school fees, uniforms, or supplies, leading to dropouts. Nigeria has over 500 languages, but the language of instruction in most schools is English, which may not be understood by young learners initially.

The challenges are enormous and would take all of us to do something about it. At Eternal Edifice, we seek to assist the Nigerian child with reading, spelling and pronunciation one child at a time.

COMMERCE

With trade and commerce, we seek to facilitate ease among rural traders in Nigeria by creating projects and schemes that enhance their processes and in-turn profitability. Commerce in rural communities in Nigeria faces a wide range of challenges that hinder economic growth, reduce livelihoods and keep many residents in poverty. Most rural roads are unpaved and become impassable during the rainy season, limiting the transport of goods. Unstable or no power supply makes it difficult to run shops, refrigerate goods, or use machines. Many rural markets lack proper stalls, storage, sanitation or security. Rural areas often have little or no access to banks or microfinance institutions. Traders struggle to access loans due to lack of collateral or formal records, where loans are available, they are often unaffordable. Rural traders miss out on modern commerce tools and platforms. Many rural traders have limited reading or numerical skills, which hinders record keeping and business planning. Middlemen often buy produce at very low prices and sell them at much higher prices in urban areas.

At Eternal Edifice, we seek to create tailored based solutions to some of these challenges.

AGRICULTURE

With agriculture, we seek to invest and create farms and food production projects that are geared towards reduction in the price of vital agro produces. Agriculture in Nigeria is a vital sector, employing over 60% of the population, especially in rural areas. However, it faces numerous challenges that limit productivity, food security and economic growth. Difficulty with transporting produce to market, especially during the rainy season due to bad rural roads. Up to 40% of harvested food spoils before reaching consumers due to inadequate storage facilities. Loans from commercial banks are expensive. Many small-scale farmers cannot meet the conditions to access credit. Most farmers still use hoes and cutlasses; tractor penetration is less than 1 per 1000 hectares. Landholdings are small and scattered, making mechanized farming difficult. Frequent changes in agricultural programs discourage investment. Agricultural innovation and research are underfunded and poorly coordinated.

At Eternal Edifice, we seek to create solution based projects to tackle some of these challenges.

CULTURE & ARTS

With regards to culture & arts, we seek to promote our divergent and rich cultural heritage as Nigerians by leveraging on Essay writing and poetry, telling the stories that will inspire the next generation. Nigerian culture is rich, diverse, and deeply rooted in tradition. With over 250 ethnic groups and 500+ languages, it offers a vibrant mix of customs, arts, values, and beliefs. However, this complexity also presents significant challenges that affect national unity, development, and social progress.

At Eternal Edifice, we seek to promote cultural appreciation among the Nigerian youths by organising programs that focus on the positives in culture & arts.
